Lágrimas de Sangre releases “Salsa Boloñesa”

Lágrimas de Sangre release “Salsa Boloñesa (Live)”, the first single from En el borde del mundo, a live album documenting the farewell tour that brought the group’s twenty-year career to a close. The project follows a four-date farewell tour — two shows in Barcelona, one in Madrid and one in Bilbao — that drew more than 20,000 people.

To open this project, LDS revisit one of the defining tracks in their repertoire. Originally released on Vértigo (2019), “Salsa Boloñesa” has become a regular feature of their live shows over the years. It now returns as a live recording captured during the farewell concert in Barcelona, where Neidos, Still Ill, Microbio and Acid Lemon performed songs spanning nearly two decades of their career for an audience that had followed them throughout much of their journey.

The tour was conceived as a final celebration of Lágrimas de Sangre’s repertoire, bringing together songs from the different stages of the group’s career. For these shows, LDS expanded their usual setup with a live band featuring Ramon Anglada Jaraquemada (guitar), Christian Llorach Martí (bass), Antonio Luis Torre Vega (drums), Ricard Cots Toscano (keyboards), Pablo Martín Álvarez (trombone) and Oriol Escolano Benach (trumpet), under the artistic and musical direction of Acid Lemon.

Each of the four farewell concerts lasted nearly three hours and was recorded in full, in both audio and video, preserving a record of this final chapter. “Salsa Boloñesa (Live)” is the first track to be released from these recordings, paving the way for En el borde del mundo Live.

The album will bring some of the songs that have shaped Lágrimas de Sangre’s history back to life on record, while preserving the memory of a farewell shared with more than 20,000 people. “Salsa Boloñesa (Live)” marks the starting point of the band’s final release.

“Salsa Boloñesa (Live)” is now available on all major digital platforms, accompanied by the live video recorded in Barcelona.
