Doble releases “Donde la vida nos lleve”

Doble is an artist from Girona who has been carving out his own identity within urban music, developing a sound that is difficult to categorise. His music moves naturally between hip-hop, reggae, funk and trap, with one common thread running through it all: the need to express himself honestly, without formulas or artifice. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Oques Grasses and released songs like “3 AM”, one of his biggest hits, which has surpassed 30 million streams.

He now presents “Donde la vida nos lleve”, a 14-track album that captures a period of personal and creative change. The record explores starting over, leaving behind experiences that have left their mark, and reconnecting with the boy who dreamed of making music before disappointments, pressure and the difficulties of the journey changed his outlook on life.

Mexico plays a fundamental role in this process. After his first trip there in 2023, Doble returned to the country and made it his main base to complete the project. The distance from home allows him to step outside his usual environment, embrace new experiences and connect with artists, producers and creators from the local scene, making Mexico an essential part of the album’s story.

Throughout “Donde la vida nos lleve”, different moments of this journey unfold. “Yo no lo sé” stems from uncertainty and the pressure of facing the future; “Lejos” explores the distance from family and friends; and “Pocos”, featuring Big Sempa, focuses on discovering who stays by your side when times get tough. On the other hand, tracks such as “So Good”, “Roll Up” and “Otro Trip” reveal a more upbeat side, shaped by travelling, music and the desire to enjoy the present.

Love, loyalty, new friendships and the need to make peace with the past complete an album that moves between vulnerability and much brighter moments. The journey culminates in “La vida que llevo”, featuring Razz, a thoughtful look back at everything experienced and learned, highlighting the value of the experiences and the people who have been part of the journey.

Musically, “Donde la vida nos lleve” retains hip-hop as its starting point while branching out into boom bap, reggae, trap, funk and a range of Latin sounds. Collaborations also play a key role in the project, featuring artists such as Turek Hem, Villax, Big Sempa, Pavel Bernal, WillemX, iQlover and Dromedarios Mágicos, among others. These collaborations reflect the connections Doble has built over the years, particularly his ties to Mexico.

With “Donde la vida nos lleve”, Doble explores getting lost, making mistakes, falling in love, going far away, meeting new people and continuing to move forward without knowing exactly where life will take you.
