Aina Koda presents a new maxi-single in Catalan that embraces the sensitivity of hip hop and trap from a deeply poetic perspective. The two pieces, L’Engany and Als Amics de Tristor, function as a broken mirror where strength, fragility and an extremely subtle humour coexist, one that only appears when the wound doesn’t burn as much anymore.
L’Engany is a visceral declaration: a raw poem about the pressure of having to be strong even when everything trembles inside. Aina gives voice to the contradiction between the image that others project and the intimate truth that is never spoken out loud. The result is a tense, bare and humanity-laden track.
On the other hand, Als Amics de Tristor unfolds a warmer and more ironic gaze. The singer speaks to those who live with everyday sadness, offering them domestic advice —sun, company, and even a fridge to cool down dreams— with a tone that oscillates between affection and a wink. It is a gesture of generational complicity, a light way of inhabiting what weighs.
The two songs feature the voice of Aina Nogueroles, the guitars of Josep Maravilla and the production, mixing and mastering of Adam González, who opts for a minimalist and atmospheric sound that lets the word breathe. The EP maintains Aina Koda’s urban essence, but frames it in a more intimate, more literary and more mature space.
This release reaffirms the project’s ability to merge contemporary poetry and urban language, consolidating Aina Koda as one of the most singular and sensitive voices of the Catalan hip hop scene.
