Declivi is an alternative rock band formed in Manresa in early 2023. The project began almost by chance, but from the very first rehearsals it became clear that there was a special connection between its members: a shared energy and the need to turn everything they carry inside into music.
After several experiences in other bands, the group established itself as a new creative meeting point from which to channel concerns, anger, and emotions through an intense rock sound that remains open to melody and sensitivity. Their songs are in Catalan, the language they live in and the one they want to keep using to tell their story.
In a short time, the band has begun to make its way into the emerging scene. They have received support from the Casa de la Música de Manresa, which granted them a recording scholarship and accompanied them in the creation of a festival for emerging bands in the city. In addition, in 2024 they won the Engresca’t competition, reinforcing the growth of a project that has not stopped moving forward since its first concerts.
With “Miratges”, the third single from GUERRA ENDINS, the band focuses on one of their recurring obsessions: the struggle to preserve one’s identity when everything around seems fragile, artificial, or outright deceptive.
The song is built on a clear idea: when you live surrounded by mirages, the only possible truth is the one you are able to build from within. There are no eternal lighthouses. There are no unbreakable promises. And maybe there are no guaranteed victories either. But there is awareness.
Driven by a fast-paced 140 BPM foundation in E minor, the track moves forward with determination, almost without pause. The guitars maintain a constant tension that reinforces the urgency of the lyrics, while the vocals shift between disillusionment and reaffirmation. It is not a chaotic explosion—it is sustained resistance.
Lines like “Viure al desert només són miratges” or “M’he tret la por de viure al davant” encapsulate the central conflict: stopping the act of pretending everything is fine, leaving behind the comfort of a composed façade, and accepting that growth means shedding references that once seemed unquestionable.
The repetition of “Desperta’m quan sigui de nit” works almost like an inverted mantra: it is not a call to escape the darkness, but to face it with clarity. If the cold comes every morning and summer lasts less than a shout, the answer is not denial, but standing firm despite everything.
“Miratges” does not promise epic redemption. It does not guarantee that the war will be won. But it does defend one essential idea: even in the middle of the desert, there is a voice of your own that can show the way.
With this third single, Declivi continue expanding the universe of GUERRA ENDINS, an album that explores inner battles, fragility, and anger, but also the —real and imperfect— possibility of holding on when everything is shaking.
“GUERRA ENDINS” will be available on all platforms on May 14.
