In their tireless search for new forms of expression, always transcending genres and frontiers, La Sra. Tomasa open a new chapter in their career by anticipating their next album, which will be released on 11 October on Guspira Records.
The new single, in which they experiment with Latin American folk instrumentation such as the marimba, the ronroco or the tambor legüero, invites us to move towards the unknown, guided by signals that manifest themselves in beats and experiences, on a journey through two worlds: the one that surrounds us and the one we carry inside.
While awaiting the new album, the Catalan-Canarian band has already announced five shows in November in Malaga, Granada, Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona.
The Catalan-Canarian band La Sra. Tomasa reveals ‘UN RUMBO SIN DESTINO’, the first preview of their upcoming album: a work that promises to be a sonic and emotional journey. This new track, which opens the album, invites us to embark on a journey through two worlds: the one that surrounds us and the one we carry inside.
‘UN RUMBO SIN DESTINO’ is a song that is not content to reaffirm our strengths and vulnerabilities. Instead, it invites us to walk, to move forward into the unknown, guided by signs that manifest themselves in the heartbeats and experiences that lie beyond maps and certainties.
In this new stage, La Sra. Tomasa experiment with sounds and rhythms of Latin American folk music, integrating instruments such as the marimba, the ronroco and the tambor legüero. These traditional elements are mixed with electronics, a hallmark of the group, creating a bridge between the ancestral and the contemporary.
‘UN RUMBO SIN DESTINO’ not only marks the beginning of the album, but also welcomes us to it, immersing us in the first chapter of a long journey. It is an invitation to let oneself be carried along a path with no fixed direction, where music becomes the main guide.
With this release, La Sra. Tomasa reaffirm their commitment to innovation and the fusion of styles, offering a musical proposal that transcends borders and genres.
