Meli Perea presents “Dins De La Font”

Afro-Colombian artist from Terres de l’Ebre, Meli Perea, presents her new single, this time in Catalan, “Dins de la font”, a bright, intimate, groove-driven track that invites listeners to rediscover what is close to us, to observe our surroundings with fresh eyes, to value what sustains us, and to recover the sense of wonder of first times.

The production is built on a rhythmic texture where merengue and funk carioca coexist, driven by an electronic bass that sets the pulse. Precisely phrased guitars dialogue with ambient synthesizers, adding depth, while her voice takes center stage with clear, evocative melodies within a clean, dynamic mix.

“Dins de la font” will be part of the album Temas, terapias y visajes, to be released on February 27 via Guspira Records. In Colombian colloquial speech, “visaje” is used to describe the complex events of everyday life. Meli transforms these “visajes” into songs: composing is her way of doing therapy and sharing that process.
The metaphor centers on looking again, recognizing the beauty of what is, and inhabiting it with attention.
